The following is a case study of a nasal cancer patient of four years who underwent traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture conditioning for the side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The patient is Mr. Lai, a 65-year-old male, and this video was recorded on August 6, 2018. The side effects he experienced after his chemotherapy and radiotherapy four years ago included insomnia, fatigue, neck soreness, pain, tightness, and stiffness, as well as a burning sensation and severe dryness in his throat. Over the past two months, his condition worsened, and he experienced continuous 24-hour numbness in his hands, feet, fingers, and toes. He also suffered from an unsteady gait, along with soreness, tightness, pain, and swelling from the popliteal fossa (the back of the knees) down to his calves, and the soles of his feet felt as if they were stepping on thick sponges with very little sensation, making him feel like he might fall while walking.

After the first treatment, a miracle quickly happened in about 5 to 10 seconds, as the patient reported that his vision immediately brightened and his energy levels improved significantly. The soreness, tightness, pain, and stiffness in his neck were immediately alleviated, the burning sensation and dryness in his throat decreased considerably, and the numbness in his limbs, fingers, and toes began to subside, making him feel much more comfortable. The soreness, tightness, and pain from the back of his knees to his calves were noticeably reduced, though the thick sponge-like sensation on the soles of his feet only decreased slightly, and after leaving the needles in for 30 minutes, his overall pain and suffering were reduced by half.

After five acupuncture treatments over ten days, without taking any Chinese or Western medicine, his insomnia greatly improved, allowing him to sleep soundly through the night until morning, leaving him completely satisfied. His energy is better than before, his fatigue has lessened, and the soreness, pain, tightness, and stiffness in his neck, along with the burning sensation in his throat, have been reduced by 70% to 80%. His dry throat has also improved by 80%, the 24-hour numbness in his limbs and digits has decreased by 50%, and the soreness, swelling, tightness, pain, and swelling from the back of his knees to his calves have been reduced by more than 80%. The thick sponge-like sensation on the soles of his feet decreased by 70% to 80%, and by August 11, 2018, it was completely healed, allowing him to walk steadily and much faster than before.

This case involves Mr. Qiu, a 73-year-old retiree who suffered from severe vertigo caused by an inner ear fluid imbalance for over six years, which often felt like the room was violently spinning. For decades—roughly 40 to 50 years—he had a perforated left eardrum that caused a constant, loud, 24-hour drumming sound in his ear. Additionally, he experienced mild deafness in his right ear with muffled hearing for over six years, a condition that had notably worsened over the past month. He also suffered from chronic dry mouth, pain across his entire back, and numbness extending from his upper arms down to the palms of his hands. Sitting for prolonged periods caused a lower back ache that would painfully radiate up into his upper back, and he struggled with nocturia, forcing him to wake up three to four times every night to urinate. Perhaps his most agonizing symptom was severe shortness of breath; even while sitting, his chest felt heavily blocked, and walking made him pant so severely that he reached a point where he could only inhale but not exhale. After 18 days of treatment, which included taking traditional Chinese herbal medicine and undergoing seven acupuncture sessions, the results were remarkable. To briefly summarize his progress, his vertigo was reduced by more than half, and the constant drumming sound from his perforated left eardrum decreased significantly. The hearing in his right ear improved so much that he can now hear soft-spoken words clearly, returning to an almost normal level of hearing. His dry mouth diminished significantly, and the numbness in his arms and hands completely disappeared during his daily activities, now only occurring slightly if he accidentally compresses them while sleeping at night. Prolonged sitting no longer triggers his lower back pain, completely eliminating the pain that used to shoot up to his upper back, and his nighttime urination was reduced from three or four times down to just once a night. Most importantly, he did not experience a single respiratory attack during the 18 days of treatment, allowing him to sit and walk with complete ease.

Under the care of these 18 days and seven acupuncture sessions, all of the patient’s symptoms showed incredible progress, improving anywhere from 40% to 80%.
